Who is publishing in the ion mobility field?

We wanted to find out which authors in the ion mobility field have been the most productive paper publishers in the last 5 years. To do this we analysed the author lists of papers published between 2011 and 2017 found by searching for "ion mobility spectrometry" using Web of Science. Figure 1 shows the results of this anlysis in the form of a word cloud. The moe papers published, the bigger the name in the word cloud.

We also performed a similar analysis of paper authorship specifically for our favorite mobilty technique - field asymmetric ion mobility spectrometry (FAIMS). We searched for FAIMS OR "differential mobility spectrometry" on Web of Science. Again, we looked for papers published between 2011 and 2017 The results are shown in Figure 2.
