2019 Exposome Symposium

Aula Magna, University of Brescia, Brescia, 20-21 May 2019

Hosted by the Mount Sinai Institute for Exposomic Research and the University of Brescia, this event brings together researchers, clinicians, government, and healthcare workers. Exposomics seeks to monitor, detect and analyse the things we are exposed to through our lives so that we can better understand the impacts of different factors on health and wellbeing. The symposium aims to: Introduce exposomics as a field; Describe the challenges of generating high quality assays, and; Illustrate the use of computer science to generate novel exposure data, wearable devices etc.

We will be attending the symposium and presenting a poster demonstrating how Breath Biopsy can be used as a tool of exposomics. The poster Exhaled Breath Analysis: A Tool For Exposomics - Determining Smoking Status Using VOC Biomakers is now available to view online. Our 4.1 Breath Biopsy Exposure Research Kit is being developed specifically to explore ways to use breath testing in the exposure field.
