Prof. Ramesh Arasaradnam

Professor Ramesh Arasaradnam is a clinical academic holding the post of Consultant Gastroenterologist at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire as well as appointments at University of Coventry and University of Warwick. He graduated from Queen's in 1996 and is Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians London as well as the European Board of Gastroenterology. His doctoral research at Newcastle University was in the field of nutrition genomics in colorectal cancer. His current research interests are in inflammatory conditions within the GI tract and application of non-invasive technology for early disease diagnosis.
He is chief investigator of the 'FAMISHED' study - metabolomic and metagenomic application in inflammatory diseases, which, is a multicentre NIHR portfolio study. Professor Arasaradnam has published several book chapters with over 70 peer review publications and holds several patents on new diagnostic devices. He is lead for commercial clinical trials research at UHCW NHS Trust.
