FAIMS technology in urinary volatile organic compound analysis to detect colorectal cancer

Conducted at Nippon Medical School Chiba Hokusoh Hospital, the study included urine samples from 139 patients at various stages of colorectal cancer and 78 healthy control samples. Headspace analysis of the urine samples was performed using the Lonestar VOC Analyzer. Results show excellent potential to use FAIMS technology as an early screening tool for colorectal cancer.
