“Breathe out: you are releasing a powerful chemical trail that can identify early signs of cancer. Published research over the last ten years has shown that diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), tuberculosis, lung cancer, gastric cancer and colon cancer all have a distinctive “smellprint” – a pattern of volatile molecules that can’t be sensed by a human nose, but can be picked up by laboratory instruments.”
