This year’s Breath Biopsy Conference will take place on 13th and 14th November 2019 in Cambridge, UK. The conference seeks to facilitate progress in the breath research field by bringing together leading researchers and research organizations to share the latest advances and to discuss common challenges.

Breath research seeks to use non-invasive breath testing approaches, like Breath Biopsy, to detect, diagnose and find the best treatment strategies for a multitude of different conditions. These approaches provide readouts of a patient’s metabolic state, so are more directly linked to current disease progression than is possible through genetic testing. As such, this field has many potential applications in early detection and precision medicine.

With a new expanded format spanning two days, this year’s conference explores the key areas of expertise in and around the breath research field. We will examine the opportunities to identify valuable breath biomarkers and to apply breath-based testing within the drug development pipeline.

Sessions will cover the medical needs that Breath Biopsy seeks to address, the value of breathomics, metabolomic analysis and VOC detection, and using probes to study metabolism. We will also be arranging networking, discussions and poster sessions, with the goal of finding new ways to address key challenges in this emerging research field.

This year’s conference is kindly sponsored by LECO, Markes International andThermo Scientific.
